Mkurugenzi Abel Mutua has raised concerns over the alarming rise of “begging “going on in the streets.
In a series of instagram posts he expressed his frustrations about the effects of the increment in tax .
Acknowledging that we are in tough times but some have resorted to “begging “as a side hustle and have development a sense of entitlement as a result.
Noting that most of them are men.One of the posts read in quote:
“It’s not just the security guys doing it.Ukijipata tu in a conversation with a stranger wee jua tu their closing remarks itakuwa statement ya kukuingia kwa mfuko”.
Statements such as”Niekee kasoda ” or “Niekee za cabbage” have become common ways of seeking quick handouts to survive in this Jungle called Nairobi.
Adding that “majority of these guys ni wanaume.”
What is happening to men ?
It is a sad realization .
Our young men should be working on being leaders not beggars.
He has gone on to urge young men to stop the habit.
Abel is one of the few influencers that keeps it real in the industry.
May our young men take inspiration from him and begin living lives with purpose.
