Nigerian actress and star of Netflix reality show “Young, Famous and African” has broken her silence after week’s of silence following her split from 2face.
In an IG post to her fans she wrote:
“To my family ,to my friends who came through for me ,the support system I have now ,all my amazing family here and all over the world. God bless you for the outpouring of love .I appreciate every single one of you.I do not take any of it for granted.May the universe continue to be in your favour .God bless you all,lots of love,
Annie Uwana Macaulay.”
She is yet to change her username but has deleted all posts reflecting a new chapter she’s beginning.
2face and Annie met in their years of youth ,
Annie being 15,and 2face being 24, starting off as friends before they officially started dating in 2004 and got married in a lavish wedding in Dubai in 2013,before splitting earlier this year.
2face made the announcement of their split in late January 2025 in an instagram post saying,
“Hello to my beautiful people of all federations. Well this thing I have to say is short but also long…Annie Macaulay and I have been separated for a while now and have currently filed for divorce. I will grant a press release soon to say my story ,not because it’s anyone’s right to know about my personal life ,but because I love my people and need them to know my innocence or offense.Stay blessed ,my people I love you all”.
Minutes later he posted “My instagram has been hacked,efforts are being carried out to take back control#Onelove”.
He later backtracked on his statement telling his fans “No one hacked my account. I said what I said. I come in peace”.
Fans were in disbelief as the couple celebrated their anniversary a few days prior.
But it wasn’t a surprise to some as the couple have had somewhat of a tumultuous relationship over the years.
With alleged accusations of infidelity taking the front seat .
And some reports adding that Annie allegedly checked into rehab after the separation to work on her inner healing .
2face has five kids from two women and two daughters with Annie.
He’s wasted no time moving on as he’s currently rumoured to be dating Nigerian legislator Natasha Osawaru.
