Brian Mwenda, a young man embroiled in controversy over his legal credentials, has publicly denied the claim that he has won 26 cases in his career. In a recent appearance on the Iko Nini Podcast, Mwenda addressed the allegations, stating that such a feat would be highly unlikely given his relatively short time in the legal field and his current stage of professional development.
Mwenda, who has never practiced law in the traditional sense, clarified that his role has primarily been as a consultant at a law firm, where he has gained valuable experience without representing clients in legal proceedings. His name first gained significant attention following a business deal gone wrong, which upset several prominent figures in the legal community. This incident thrust him into the public eye, but not in the way he had hoped.
In addition to clearing up the rumors about his legal career, Mwenda revealed that he is currently pursuing a law degree at the University of London, with his education being fully funded by renowned trade unionist Francis Atwoli. Despite his academic journey, Mwenda made it clear that he has no plans to practice law in Kenya. The ongoing allegations about his qualifications have, in his view, severely damaged his reputation, making a legal career in the country difficult to pursue.
Mwenda’s appearance on the Iko Nini Podcast allowed him to directly address the false claims and provide insight into his true legal background, offering listeners a clearer understanding of his professional journey and aspirations.
