Comedian and our very own hero Eric Omondi is inspiring us to be our brother’s keeper in these turbulent times.
Eric came to the rescue of former manager Isindu who worked for him as a logistics manager from 2011 to 2017 before his life took a dramatic turn and went on a downward spiral struggling with addiction and mental health issues.
Eric gave an update in his post as his shown visiting Isindu’s house in Kibera where he had been selling scrapes.
The post read “Life has not been kind to Isindu,from marital struggles to shattered dreams and losing his mother,the only family he had left”.
He added”in just one night I watched him lose his mind three times simply because we denied him access to substances “.Noting that it has proven to be a struggle getting him to rehab.
“Isindu will be okay,we will fight for him and we will fight with him.He will win because their is no other option.His son needs him ,his wife needs him.We need him”.
He posted the heartfelt message while encouraging his fans to take men’s mental health seriously as men are suffering in silence and “depression has become a universal pandemic “.
We stand with Isindu and all men suffering in silence.
