The Wajesus Family, a beloved YouTube couple known for sharing their lives with fans, recently took a brave step by opening up about a deeply personal challenge. In a new video posted on March 10, 2025, Milly shared her emotional journey with postpartum depression after giving birth to their latest child, offering a glimpse into the raw realities of parenthood that often go unspoken.
Milly reflected on how her pregnancy, while joyous, was also filled with significant emotional turbulence. She revealed that her experience was more challenging than she initially realized, as she struggled with emotional lows and feelings she couldn’t comprehend at the time. It wasn’t until later that she recognized these feelings as signs of postpartum depression.
The turning point in the video came during a therapy session, where Milly was asked a powerful question by the therapist: had she ever experienced dark thoughts during her pregnancy? This prompted Milly to recount a particularly difficult period in early January, sharing some of the most painful moments she faced. “I remember in the first weeks of January, I had moments where I thought, ‘What if I just walked away and left these children behind?’” Milly admitted. “I felt like they were the reason I was feeling that way. I questioned whether I was capable of taking care of them on my own. It was one of the darkest thoughts I’ve ever had, but to be honest, nothing beyond that.”
As Milly spoke about these struggles, she also opened up about the strain it caused in her relationship with her husband, Kabi. She recounted a painful exchange where she tried to explain her depression to him, only to feel dismissed. “I had arguments with Kabi where I told him, ‘Do you know I went through depression?’ And he was like, ‘Why are you pretending? You just want to be like other women who say they are depressed.’ That really hurt me,” she said, explaining how the lack of understanding from her partner only deepened her feelings of isolation.
By sharing her story, Milly and Kabi are helping to break the silence around postpartum depression, showing their followers that even those with large platforms go through difficult times. Their candid video is a reminder that mental health struggles are real and can affect anyone, regardless of how their lives appear on the surface. Milly’s willingness to speak openly about her experience emphasizes the importance of seeking help and normalizing conversations about mental health.
This brave moment in their YouTube journey encourages others to seek support and reminds them they’re not alone, even in the toughest of times.
