Tanzanian musician Mr. Nice has strongly dismissed speculation that he is facing financial difficulties or has lost his friendships. In a recent conversation with Dr. King’ori, the celebrated artist known for the track “Fagilia” made it clear that, although his life has changed significantly over the years, he is certainly not broke.
“People might assert that I have nothing left and that I’ve lost my friends, but that’s simply not the case,” he stated. Reflecting on the changes in his life, he noted, “In my youth, I didn’t have children. Now, I am a father of three. Change is a part of life, and as I approach 50, it’s unrealistic to continue living as I did when I was younger.”
Mr. Nice also tackled the misconception about his financial status, noting that it stems from not always being seen driving. “People expect to spot me in a vehicle every time they see me. But if I were always driving around, when would you actually get a chance to see me?” he joked.
For those looking to break into music, Mr. Nice imparted valuable advice, stressing that having raw talent is just one piece of the puzzle. “Many young artists believe that talent alone is the key to achieving success, but that isn’t the complete story. You might have financial backing and little talent, yet still manage to find someone to help you produce music. Conversely, if you possess talent but lack financial means, opportunities could be hard to come by,” he elaborated. He also expressed gratitude towards his mother for her steadfast support throughout his journey.
