You may know him from hit singles like “Beautiful girls” and “Dutty love ” among others but this time he’s on the headlines for other reasons.
Singer Sean Kingston and his mother Janice Turner have been found guilty of fraud as follows one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and four counts of wire fraud.
Kingston was notably emotional during the reading and is heard pleading with authorities “Protect my mother” who is facing jail time.
The duo were accused of obtaining luxurious items worth 1 million dollars through fraudulent schemes , and have a number of run-ins with the law prior to their recent legal debacle.
With Kingston being on probation prior to his arrest while his mother Janice Turner was convicted for bank fraud serving 18 months in prison back in 2006.
His mother Janice is considered flight risk so will be behind bars as Sean Kingston will be in home detention and has to secure bond release awaiting sentencing.
Both are facing up to 20 years behind bars.
