Nairobi Governor, Johnson Sakaja, has announced that City Hall Way will be temporarily closed for three days, from March 17 to March 20, 2025, to facilitate preparations for the WRC Safari Rally. The closure will impact the road segment between City Hall Way Roundabout and Parliament Roundabout.
The closure will begin at 8:00 PM on March 17 and last until 3:00 PM on March 20, as stated in a public announcement on March 15. The move is part of the preparations for the opening ceremony of the prestigious WRC Safari Rally.
Motorists who frequently use this route are advised to adjust their travel plans and explore alternative routes to avoid disruptions. Authorities are also urging drivers to cooperate with traffic officers and marshals who will be present to manage traffic and ensure a smooth flow during the closure period.
“Drivers are encouraged to plan their trips ahead of time, use alternative routes, and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals for a seamless experience,” the statement concluded.
