Yes ! Will Smith will be releasing his first album in 20 years.
Sharing on his Instagram the album named ‘Based on a True Story’,will be officially released on March 28 this year.
He shared that he’d been working on the album for some time now and is super stoked for the fans to hear it.
The tracklist will feature some notable artists such as Teyana Taylor,Big Sean,his son Jaden among others.
Will has been under the radar since the Oscar’s incident in which he slapped the host Chris Rock on stage causing the Oscar’s to ban him for 10 years.
He addresses the incident on the song Beautiful scars rapping ‘I hate when I lose it,but I face the music/’Oh why did he do it?’See I’m only human”.
He has since released an apology video on his YouTube channel taking accountability and condemning his behaviour terming it “unacceptable “.
This album will actually show his musically artistic side much deeper.
“I’m a master actor but I’ve never given myself the opportunity to elevate my poetry, my concepts, to the level of mastery I’ve attained as an actor”.
His last album was “Lost and Found” released in 2005.He hasn’t released much music since then.
You may make mistakes but mistakes don’t make you.
