The world has been adjusting to AI but we really need to strap up,AI is set to replace selected jobs in the future that is in the next ten years.
These are the sentiments of Billionare,philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates who has described this new era as an era of “free intelligence “.
“Intelligence that will be so advanced and accessible and touch nearly every aspect of our lives”.
Speaking on Jimmy Fallon “Tonight Show” he highlighted that not all jobs will be replaced by AI “But in terms of making things ,moving things and growing food overtime those will be basically solved problems “.
The question as to how exactly humanity will fit into this new era is still ongoing amid mixed reviews,some claiming humans will be able to work more effectively rather than replace them and drive economic growth.
Others like Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman described it as having “hugely destabilizing “impact on the job market.
“The tools will temporarily augment human intelligence ,” he wrote in his book “The Coming Wave” published in 2023 and goes ahead to note how it will “unlock enormous amounts of economic growth but will fundamentally replace labor”.
AI has it pros and cons as it continues to advance but overall Gates believes the benefits will be profound”breakthrough treatments for deadly diseases,innovative solutions for climate change and high quality education ” he wrote last year.
